What's Happening in Niagara Falls May 20th - 26th

With only 32 days till summer it is a beautiful time of year here at the Red Coach Inn and a great week to get out and have some fun! From lawn concerts to a special observance for the War of 1812 there's a lot happening in Niagara Falls. Read below to find more information on each event!

May 22nd: The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs at Artpark Theater
Artpark May 22ne
Are YOU afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? What really happened? YOU decide!
The Dallas Children's Theater will bring their national touring production of "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" to the Artpark Mainstage Theater on May 22nd. Two hilarious performances will be presented at 10:00 am and 7:00 pm and tickets are $7.00 per person.

Based on the popular book by John Scieska and Lane Smith, the play begins where the book leaves off. Alexander T. Wolf, a.k.a. Big Bad, finally gets to tell his side of the story and YOU, the audience, determine the ending of the play in this rock hip-hop-ity musical that will blow the hair off your chinny chin chin!

May 23rd: The War of 1812 in Niagara County

Join the Niagara County Historical Society for this interesting program highlighting the War of 1812 events that actually took place in Niagara County. The program will be held Thursday May 23rd at 7:00 pm at the History Center.

May 24th: The Avett Brothers at Artpark Theater
Since their major label debut in 2008, the Avett Brothers built up a sizable following based on their rowdy, infectious stage shows. In concert, the high-flying ensemble tears through tunes with unbridled energy, popping banjo and guitar string right and left while inciting stomping singalongs among audiences that appear to know every word. At times they would seemingly create their own subgenre onstage - "punkgrass," for lack of a better word. This much is for certain: the Avett Brothers are a grassroots phenomenon, built from the ground up.
Inside is sold out, but Lawn seats are still available.

May 25th & 26th: Native American Stone Carving

Students age 12 and older are welcome. Call (716) 282-7530 to register today!

May 25th & 26th: Soldiers through the Ages
This "time-line" event traces the occupation of Fort Niagara form the 17th century through World War Two. Special displays and demonstrations explore the uniforms, weapons, and equipment of four centuries of soldiers. This year's event will feature a special focus on the War of 1812 in observance of the Bicentennial of the capture of Fort George in May 1813.  The event starts at 10:00 am and retreats at 4:30 pm at Old Fort Niagara.
