What's Happening in Niagara Falls, NY December 16th - 22nd


Celebrate the season in Niagara Falls, NY this year! With snow on the ground, the festival of lights in full swing, and the big tree on Old Falls Street it's a true winter wonderland! This week in Niagara Falls you can enjoy holiday festivals and even see Santa, so whether you want to bundle up and head to explore or just want to stay cozy inside, the Red Coach Inn has it all! Just a short drive from all the activities the Red Coach Inn is located just 500 yards from the Upper Rapids and a 1/2 mile from the brink of the falls. We also have suites featuring in-room fireplace in case you'd rather stay warm and snug! 

December 16th - 22nd: Holiday Lights of Niagara Trail
Enjoy over 60 light displays in Hyde Park with decorations placed on Pine Avenue, Main Street, and down Third Avenue. Displays run nightly from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. 









December 16th - 22nd: Festival of Trees
Holiday celebrations kick-off early at the New York Power Authority's admission-free visitor center. As one of the stops along the Holiday Lights of Niagara Trail, the Power Vista's glass walkway will feature a dazzling display of artificial evergreen trees, adorned with energy efficient lights. The trees are decorated for the season by local non-profit groups and will be on display through January 4th, 2014. 



December 19th: Free Carriage Rides through Hyde Park
Head to Hyde Park this Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and enjoy free carriage rides through the park as you enjoy the beautiful holiday light display. All rides are on first-come first-serve basis. For more information call (716) 216-4582.




December 20th - 22nd: Santa's Gingerbread Village
Stop by and visit Jolly Old St. Nick at a life-size student designed Gingerbread Village at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. Exhibit is open nightly from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and there will be crafts and gingerbread cookie decorating, and of course meet Santa! For more information CLICK HERE






December 21st: Santa on the Carrousel
Enjoy Old St. Nick on the carrousel; just make sure you're on the "nice" list! Start the day off with lunch at 11:00 am, where you can visit with Santa and make sure he got your letters. Then there will be lots of fun, festive crafts and games, hot chocolate and treats, and plenty of opportunities to ride the carrousel. A highlight of the afternoon is a special holiday program at 1:00 pm. Reservations and pre-payment are required for lunch; call (716) 693-1885 to register.
