It's the little things!
One of my favorite things about the staying at the Red Coach Inn is all the small touches that add up to one amazing experience. I have seen many beautiful rooms and had lots of great customer service experiences at the Red Coach Inn, and many other hotels, but the attention to detail given at the Red Coach is by far a key factor that sets it apart from other hotels.
The unique experience provided by the Red Coach Inn starts as soon as you check-in. The front desk associate politely escorts you up to your room and makes sure to explain to you each amenity of the room, including how to turn the fireplace on and how to work the jetted bath tub. And I can't forget about my favorite part, the cheese, cracker, and fruit platter and bottle of champagne that is waiting for you! (And yes this is every stay!)
The overall ambiance of the hotel is another reason the Red Coach Inn has become one of my favorite Niagara Falls destinations. The hotel first opened its doors in 1923 and still carries the warm English style decor throughout the property. Each room is uniquely decorated, so you are guaranteed to experience something new each stay. I find it refreshing to see a different room each time I stay versus the cookie cutter rooms you typically find with the major hotel chains. Also as an oil painter I have a great appreciation for all of the artwork hung throughout the hotel, especially the oil paintings. The art creates an understanding of the rich history that is deeply rooted in the Red Coach Inn.
The Red Coach Inn remains one of my all-time favorite hotels simply for its uniqueness and attention to detail! It's all the little things that add up to one grand experience!

May 24th: The Avett Brothers at Artpark Theater
Since their major label debut in 2008, the Avett Brothers built up a sizable following based on their rowdy, infectious stage shows. In concert, the high-flying ensemble tears through tunes with unbridled energy, popping banjo and guitar string right and left while inciting stomping singalongs among audiences that appear to know every word. At times they would seemingly create their own subgenre onstage - "punkgrass," for lack of a better word. This much is for certain: the Avett Brothers are a grassroots phenomenon, built from the ground up.
Inside is sold out, but Lawn seats are still available.

Summer Wedding Color-Blocking!
Summer is one of our favorite times of year at the Red Coach Inn for countless reasons. The sun is shining and the last traces of winter disappear, and at the top of our list it's wedding season! Especially because all the bright colors, that are (finally!) in season, start to appear at our wedding events. From Bridal Showers to Receptions one of the hottest trends we're seeing is using color-blocking, where you combine multiple bright and bold colors all at once like aquamarine and citron. So, skip the lace and burlap. Color-blocked wedding details - borrowed from the fashion runways - have wedding planners (and brides!) across the country totally inspired. Feel free to steal some of these fresh new ideas from our top 9 color-blocking trends.
1. Contrasting Linens
For this intimate beachside wedding, celebrity wedding planner, Mindy Weiss, played with two equally bold colors: blue on the tabletops with pops of yellow in the centerpieces and chair covers. She topped it off with a simple with draped fabric canopy to ensure the table was the ultimate focal point.
2. Bright Ceremony Decor
While a color-block ceremony certainly isn't for everyone it is possible to pull it off in a chic and sophisticated way. A little bit of draping goes a long way and makes the perfect unexpected ceremony backdrop.
3. A Flirty Bridesmaid Dress
Color-blocked bridesmaid dresses are the perfect way to add a pop of color to the day. Plus, it's on trend so there's actually a chance they'll wear it again!
4. A Color Blocked Wedding Cake
The wedding cake is one of the easiest places to try out a trend and really make a statement like this one designed by Melody Brandon and Sweet and Saucy Bakery. One tip worth mentioning: Use a subtler color on the base of the cake and let the sugar flowers and accents take on the bold hues.
5. Bright Neon Cactus Centerpieces
Can you believe these little guys are actually found in nature? It's true - these desert "moon cactus" grow and blossom in neon bright yellow, fuchsia, and orange. A low arrangement like this makes a striking low-key centerpiece or the perfect accent for a lounge area!
6. Half-dipped cupcakes
Chocolate dipped cupcakes topped off with your favorite icing will get you a two-tone look that's truly decadent!
7. Colorful Sugar Rimmed Glassware
You don't have to add pineapple juice to pull off a colorful cocktail. Ask you caterer about colorful rimming sugar to turn an ordinary glass into a piece of the decor.
8. Color-block Save-the-Dates
"Block off" the date for your wedding with color-blocked save-the-dates! This square shaped design from Minted.com strikes the perfect balance between contemporary and playful.
9. Color-block Tipped Shoes
For the daring bride, color-block shoes (these ones are from Zara.com!) are the perfect modern way to pull in your "something blue."
Let us know what you think about color-blocking weddings! Happy Planning!
